Diverse in genre, abundant with creativity and bold in invention, this debut showcases the many styles and influences of this foursome. Almost exclusively a cappella SINGALANA gives the listener an intimate peep into a day in the life of these four perceptive women. Blooming like a dreamy flower at dawn, SINGALANA guides us through a day of both ordinary and extraordinary circumstances which the Sisters share with us through poetry and song. As dusk falls and the entertainment draws to a close and the joy of evening peacefully settles into a final calm, SINGALANA becomes a star in the night sky.

This demo was recorded at Prána Studios in Prague at the end of 2005 and was completed in early 2006 with the addition of United Flavour’s “Revolution”.

This DVD coincides with the official release of the Yellow Sisters’s
debut album “Singalana“.
Recorded in March 2007 this concert is not only a
showcase of their debut but shows the group jamming alongside many special
guests including Marcel Barta, The Free Afrika Band and Lenka Dusilova.
Also included are two unreleased tracks, ‘Sister‘ and ‘Ocean‘.
And multimedia artist Lenka Blazejova highly enriched this performance with video projections and animations.

Yellow Sisters´ song Free to do was selected for an international compilation CD box Europavox, which was released in September 2008. CD box contains four Cds with selection of contemporary European music.

Singalana, the debut album of Yellow Sisters, was one of 40 nominated best albums of accoustic music of the year 2007 for IAMA (Int´l Accoustic Music Awards). In section of a cappella bands appeared Singalana between the three best albums of the year!!!

Yellow Sisters recorded a cover version of a main melody of animated movie Nautica for an international sampler, published in Japan for an anniversory of a Japanese studio Happinet.
